We launched our Community Foundation on the 30th January 2020 to support the communities where we operate.
A key priority for us is to create and sustain ongoing relationships with our tenants across Norfolk and Suffolk. The new Community Foundation aims to create new initiatives and partnership working with other local organisations such as charities and local authorities to help tenants lead better lives and create places people want to live.
In our first year we awarded Grant Funding to 9 local projects in our first year awarding £35,075 across these projects.
In 2021 our Community Foundation has allocated just under £50,000 in small grants to 13 local groups and not for profit organisations. The funding will be used to help improve the lives of people across Norfolk and Suffolk by encouraging community engagement or providing training and educational activities.
Applicants ranged from local town and parish councils, to village halls, a bowls club and a charity which aims to help single people find housing. The maximum amount allocated to each group is £5,000. A panel reviewed applications and allocated £49,993 of funding to those who aimed to enhance the wellbeing of local communities.
