Be a Saffron Community Member (SCM)
If you are a tenant or community leader, becoming a Saffron Community Member gives you lots of opportunities to get involved in our work to make a positive difference.
Tenant groups
After becoming a SCM, if you would like to be more involved, you could join one of our two tenant groups:
-
-
Tenant Communication & Support Group
Our Tenant Communication & Support Group guide and influence Saffron’s communications while providing tenant-to-tenant support.
Both groups provide tenant-to-tenant support via the Saffron Tenants Facebook page. You can join by clicking here.
Both groups are also involved in ensuring Saffron’s journey towards being tenant centred is achieved, and the groups will be at the forefront of any consultation process.
We have some frequently asked questions which we hope you will find helpful. You can read them below or by clicking here.
If you have any further questions, please email getinvolved@saffronhousing.co.uk or call 01508 532000.
Together with Tenants
The National Housing Federation have created a scheme called Together with Tenants, with the aim of improving the relationship between landlords and residents. We believe this is a valuable initiative.

The government has launched a new opportunities and empowerment programme called Four Million Homes, which provides guidance for social housing tenants and training around resident rights and how to stand up for them by taking an active role in how your home is managed.
You can take part in workshops, forums, and use online resources which include videos about understanding your rights, what residents panels are, and how to run them.
You can share your views, concerns, or suggestions about our services by joining our Saffron Community Member Scheme. If you require some assistance to sign up, contact the Tenants and Communities Team by emailing getinvolved@saffronhousing.co.uk. We also have two Tenant Groups, our Tenant Scrutiny Group and Tenant Communication & Support Group.
If you need the above information in a different format such as an accessible PDF or braille, email info@saffronhousing.co.uk or call 01508 532000.
We also offer INTRAN, which provides interpreting and translation services for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or who do not have English as a first language. To arrange support with INTRAN please contact a member of the Customer Contact Team on 01508 532000 or at info@saffronhousing.co.uk. Find out more by clicking here.
We own two community rooms which are run by volunteer committees.
The rooms are available to hire by the public for one off events or regular activities. They provide a low cost, level access venue in our communities, each with a disabled toilet and hearing loop. The facilities are spacious with free parking and Wi-Fi available. See below to find out more, check availability or to make a booking.
