If you have concerns about the current cost of living, you can benefit from financial support sessions we are offering, in partnership with Your Own Place, at community spaces in Norfolk.

The sessions, currently based in Diss and Wymondham, offer the chance to have a chat with the Your Own Place team and plan how to manage your finances more effectively.

These are a mixture of drop-in discussions, one-to-one chats, and dedicated Cost of Living sessions, covering topics including:

  1. Budgeting and saving
  2. Managing and understanding debt
  3. Benefits and Cost of Living support
  4. Understanding and saving on bills

You can also get support with short online forms, applying for travel passes, signposting to local organisations or addressing any money-related concerns or questions.

Upcoming sessions will be held at Hope Church, Diss on the following dates:

  • Monday 11 December, 10am – 11am
  • Friday 15 December, 10.45am – 12pm

Your Own Place detailed how November has been the second busiest month at the sessions in Diss.

Mike Barton, Facilitator, commented: “We've talked a lot about energy bills recently, as well as preparations for Christmas - two topics top of people's minds at the moment. There is possibly some help on the horizon for people wanting to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, which is exciting.”
