Dawn’s New Horizon recently received £15,000 from South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils to support victims of domestic abuse. The funding will pay for a counsellor to support newly rehoused victims of domestic abuse.

Saffron have recorded 190 addresses with households who have experienced domestic abuse in the South Norfolk and Broadland areas since 2022, providing advice and support to multiple tenants.

Saffron Housing Trust’s Operations Manager, Jennifer Loades-Hoye, said: ‘Survivors of domestic abuse often face emotional trauma, fear and isolation making it difficult for them to seek help or make decisions about their future. Dawns Horizons offers a safe space for survivors to express their feelings, process their experiences and develop strategies for healing and moving on.  Saffron is incredibly proud to have contributed to bringing this service to our tenants and the wider community.’
