Saffron Housing Trust takes into account the needs of all our tenants. We aim to provide a service that promotes independence and the opportunity to have a home for life.
As part of this, we can consider a variety of solutions to meet any individual needs you have. This can include providing a referral for a move to a more suitable property if necessary.
If you or anyone in your household is disabled and has difficulty getting into or moving around your home, or accessing everything you need within it, we can help you make changes. To help access funding for these changes, you should consider applying for an adaptation through the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) programme. This programme is run by your local council in conjunction with Social Services.
Saffron Housing Trust is working with local councils and Social Services to install a wide range of adaptations that enable people to remain independent in their home. The adaptations we can help to provide include:
If your aid or adaptation is going to cost less than £500, you can get in touch with Saffron directly. We may deal with you directly, or connect you with other organisations who can help. Depending on the aid or adaptation, Saffron tries to complete these within a month.
