Morley Village & Sports Hall outdoor space opens thanks to funding from our Community Foundation

Morley Village & Sports Hall have opened their communal outdoor meeting space which was made possible by a generous £5,000 grant from our Community Foundation.

Emilie Hildreth, Community Foundation Manager at Saffron, said: “We are delighted to see the space open for the local community and the enjoyment it brings. It’s great to be to be able to see how our Foundation’s funding is helping and strengthens the importance of the work we do.”

The Morley Village & Sports Halls have created a communal outdoor meeting space with 9 recycled material picnic tables, 2 of which are wheelchair accessible. The new space is the perfect place to meet up and enjoy their weekly Street Food Events, book for a children’s party or enjoy one of their forthcoming craft workshops.

Corinna Pharaoh, Chair of Morley Village & Sports Hall, said: “It has been fantastic news for Morley Village & Sports Hall to receive funding from Saffron Housing Trust’s Community Foundation. We are a fully self-funding charity organisation and this grant has enabled us add a much need outdoor facility that was lacking and provides a wonderful outdoor eating and meeting area in our beautiful grounds for the community to enjoy.”

Saffron are proud to have funded another 8 projects in local communities across Norfolk. All projects are aimed at local groups and not-for-profit organisations who share our vision for promoting the general well-being of a community and creating positive futures.
