Coronavirus update 23rd Feb 22Published: 23rd February 2022
You may have seen the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday outlining his plans for ‘living with COVID’. The key changes are:
- From Thursday 24th February, the legal requirement for anyone testing positive for coronavirus to self-isolate will end, but people are still advised to stay at home and avoid contact with others.
- From Thursday 24th February, vaccinated contacts of positive cases will no longer be asked to test for 7 days.
- From Thursday 24th February, contact tracing will end.
- From 1st April, free universal testing will end and instead target the most vulnerable.
The announcement does not affect the level of service we are offering you.
Please be assured that our staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE and maintain social distancing in our homes where we have tenants who are vulnerable. We are encouraging staff to do this in all our other homes as well.
Although there is no legal requirement to wear a face covering, we would be grateful if you could also wear one if you feel comfortable in doing so and maintain a distance of 2 metres from our staff.
We would ask that you please let us know if you are particularly vulnerable to coronavirus and/or were previously shielding so that we can put the appropriate measures in place before entering your home. You can contact us in the usual way by calling 01508 532000 or emailing email@example.com.
