Coronavirus update – Plan B rule changesPublished: 9th December 2021
You may have seen the Government’s latest announcement about their Plan B rule changes in response to the Omicron variant.
The new measures are:
- From tomorrow (10th December) face coverings will be mandatory for most public indoor venues such as theatres and cinemas. Masks will not be needed in hospitality setting such as pubs and restaurants.
- From Monday 13th December, people should work from home “if they can”.
- From Wednesday 15th December, people will need an NHS Covid pass or a negative lateral flow test to gain entry into certain venues such as nightclubs and unseated indoor venues with more than 500 people.
We are not making any changes to our frontline services but continue to have measures in place to keep you and our staff as safe as we possibly can.
We are encouraging our staff to wear appropriate PPE and face coverings and maintain a 2-metre distance from you when visiting your home.
We would be grateful if you could also wear a face covering, if you feel comfortable in doing so, and maintain a distance of 2 metres from our staff.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and will continue to keep you updated. For more information about the services we are offering at this time, please visit the Coronavirus page on our website here.
